Days with Andy & Jen~

I know,i know...it had been ages after my last post,I was extremely busy for the past 2 months. Well,if u really wanna know it...besides studies,I was watching latest dramas & movie all the time like I used to be. My close friends should all know about it...this is why they call me the "drama Queen" ^^ All the latest taiwan & hk drama could not escape from my eye, some might be surprising of why can I still watch it in UK? Thanks to PPS which makes my life easier and wonderful,haha!! Actually there are lots of stuff that I wish I could write it all..but I'm a bit lazy so i will just summaries of what I had did in the following post,ok?

Last time I had register a programme in a church call which we can apply to have a meal in a typical British home. I went with my Flatmates Jingjing.

The family that we went to is a lovely couple name Andy & Jen~
They are still a young couple who had married for 8 years but haven't get any children yet. They have a small house but it is so lovely. Jen likes to collect toy dolls especially bears..looks at her collections in the picture down there~Besides this,they also collect lots of difference things such as postcard, old records, books, porcelain and old stuff.

Andy is the chef of that day and he cooks some typical British dish for us~
We played some card games after that.

Nice to know both of them~

Potluck~Lots of foods,yummy!!!

We had potluck yesterday night in the common room of our hall which everyone of us have to prepare a dish...Look in the pictures above,we have about 10 dishes & 1 dessert in total. I'm the one who prepared the dessert-chocolate brownie cake because I'm lazy to make any dish~But all of them are very geng! Eunice cook spaghetti, kenny made 三杯鸡, June made 冬菇鲁肉 & Tong Yam soup, Pei Ling & chen chen cook vege, jing jing cook ABC soup...yummy yummy~

Wanna know what Tj make? here you are! He made 叉烧,烧肉 & 腊肠~ Very nice!! While Yong Hao made this, fried cornflakes chicken which i helped him for the deco^^
We had chat around and gossips (mostly about yong hao & kenny) all night,talk about Kenny's attire and Yong Hao's 桃花运~ Laughter surrounded us all the time.

I really enjoy the atmosphere of having dinner all together. It was a nice memory~

Autumn gonna end soon....chilly

Hello~ Autumn going to end soon....u can see the trees on the streets almost botak and leafs falling all over the place. The weather is getting cold + strong winds, have to start buying winter clothes. It had been a half month i didn't update my blog, start kena scold already!! Kinda busy these few days,study,study & study...The lecturer here are rushing all the time plus i took french as well. Although i had forgotten most of those i had learnt last time but i am trying my best to catch up nowadays since i had paid for it!! haha~

Yesterday was Halloween, Pei Ling,June,Malvet & i went to watch fireworks beside the port. It was beautiful but not beautiful enough if compare to those i used to see in Malaysia during count down.Then we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner and it was so nice~ I even ordered my favourite Tiramisu for dessert~Yummy

Oh ya,i registered for host UK last time which i will get an opportunity to stay in a British home for the weekend and i got it~ They are old couple whose name are Derek & Yoskell,they live in New Milton which near the coast. Derek was a banker last time and he is now retired. They told me that they have a few dogs and a cat in their house. We used to talk in the phone and he sounds very friendly and told me that he wanna take me to visit some castles and church. I really feel excited but on the other part i worried that i couldn't communicate well with them. I wondering what should i chat with them? Anyone has any idea? I bet this would be one of the best experience and memories that i could have in UK.

I had been doing lots of thinking these days, wondering whether i can stay & work in UK after i graduate...really hope that i can. I went to some career fair for the past few weeks and i found that it is not easy to get a job here. Beside having a good CV & cover letter, one must also have the ability,independent,wide knowledge & able to present themselves well in order to be recruit and I'm still not confidence enough in this part. My dad even ask me to consults his friend Mrs.Toh but i just don't know how to start the conversation....

A new month begin,hope everything will run smooth ..pray for me ya ^_^

Celia and Anya's Birthday Celebration~

Last Monday & Wednesday were our floor mates- Celia's and Anya's Birthday~ It was the 1st birthday celebration for our floor. We didn't get to celebrate Celia's birthday that night because she has to go London early morning on the other day but we did put up a cake & card for her in the kitchen. While for Anya,we only knew her birthday at 8PM the night before her big day. We thought we won't be able to get a cake at the late night at first because all the shops here normally close at 5 or 6PM. Thanks God that Yong Hao still at the bus station that time and he was able to buy a big chocolate cake for them~ Where did he get it? "Summer field"-He like the shop~ We then prepared the cake,put on candles and lit it. Anya was so surprised and excited when she open the door and she shout it out loud!!! Then we went into the kitchen to blow the candles coz the smoke detector in our hall is extremely sensitive as the hall handbook mention. After they blew off those candles, i left 1 candle in the middle and push it inside the cake then ask them 2 use their mouth 2 pull it out~ I told them that it was our traditions in Malaysia when celebrating birthday! Anya did it pretty well but for Celia .....she kept claiming that she had a big nose and she dipped her nose on the cake when she bite the candle~Very Funny!!!

Recent life~

I went city centre to grab a printer[hp] today,finally...because it cost me 5 pence to photostat a page in university,It was Too expensive! This is the reason why i rather buy one my selves but the printer wasn't cheap here, it cost me 26.99pound without cable which mean u have to search cable else where in order to operate it!! Weird right? We normally get it free when we buy printer in Malaysia and i have to pay another 5 pound just to buy the cable!!!How ridiculous??

My friends keep asking me about the condition of the place i'm staying these days,so i post up some picture of my room here~It's quite big actually and it is the best room compare to Tj's & Yong Hao's. ^^
These are the only 2 picture i put on my table because i never tough of bringing any...The Photo frame + the photo were given by V6 in the KLIA Airport before i left Malaysia while the other one was given by Xian Thong which i left it in Taw Jin's camera bag on the last day we met xian thong,wei chun & swee yee and he just returned it to me when i reached my hostel...^^
This is the view outside my window~ I usually shut my window last time because it was too cold but recently the staff switch on the heater and it make my room a bit too warm....i even sleep without my comforter and blanket. I couldn't really sleep well these day and keep dreaming all the night due to the mix of cold weather from outside and hot heater inside.
This is a hand phone paddle given by my best friend Ai Chyi before i left Malaysia and it was dropped off from my hp in the library that day...I search it every way but couldn't found it and i have been disappointed for some time. 2 days later, Tj accidentally found it on the book rack and returned it to me~ Thank Tj i get it back coz it's my precious lucky charm~ Ai Chyi, i'll make sure it tight harder this time,don't worry ^^
I'm suppose to study my math and statistic for the whole week because I'm going to have an exam next week, I did study all those before during my undergraduate but i already forgotten everything. Last time we usually use at least 1 semester to study each of that subject and now they want us to finish it in just 2 weeks time plus i kept day dreaming during the class and non of the calculation able to get into my mind. Now only i aware that study overseas isn't that easy...gonna struggle hard next week....wish me good luck ,k? ^^

London trip on the 3rd day~

Have u ever see someone actually washing bus stop in Malaysia? I bet u don't~ This is what i saw while i waiting for my bus to London. The guy 1st brush it with soap then only shower with water, this is a good culture that i think we should learn in order to become a develop country but just a bit disappointed when he left after showering without wipe dry it.^^
Here we are,this is London Victoria Station. V kinda lost at 1st but luckily Pei Ling met her Thailand friends who also visiting London and v asked direction from them. When we enter the Green Park, Yong Hao got saman from police!!! Wanna know why?
The police asked whether he is bringing any drugs?!! Curious about the reason? Haha...It's because of the logo behind his jacket...the bob Marley leaf is actually drug leaf which neither of us realised that!!! The police just give him a paper which proof that he didn't bring any drugs,lol...
The Green Park was so big and really beautiful~ Lots of people just sitting on the grass, chatting, reading books and some even sleeping on it~

Tada~The Buckingham Palace,my friend told me that if the queen is inside the palace,she will wave her hand out the window sometimes but she wasn't there that time. It was crowded with tourist that day.
Soldiers marchingThen we head to the Big Ben~ The land mark in London.Then we went to China Town for lunch~ Guess how much is this?
In Malaysia, it should cost us around RM4.50 but in London it cost us 4.50 pound!!! Crazy!!!But we were eager to eat rice,therefore each of us order a plate and it was really yummy~
We met a street performer while we taking photo and he shiok sendiri standing in front of us so that he can get into the photo~ Then, he thought that we are Japanese at 1st and force us to watch his performance..lolz but we do claimed that v r Malaysian after that!! Funny Guy~ I bought this in the oxford street coz the shoe i wore to UK made my leg so pain. This 1 is more comfortable and nice and the most important thing is it has my size!! It's very hard for me to buy any shoe in Malaysia due to my big foot...haiz...

We went back uni late at night and were waiting at the bus stop for around 20 minutes and it was so cold!!! Every1 was giggling.....

Fresher in Uk~

Hello~ Sorry for not being able to update my blog after i reach UK. Coz my schedule was quite packed for the previous day and i was lazy & tired to write something until now.
Hmm...where should i start?
I guess i should start the story when I'm in KLIA. Yong Hao was pretty sure that v could bring up to 30kg luggage if v present our University offer letter as he already called and went to the MAS office to enquire. But when i get there, the staff suddenly said that the information v get is wrong and v can only take 25Kg each person as Tj have whole luggage of 30Kg and i have 2 separate luggage with 20Kg & 10Kg...we were overweight!! Then she ask me 2 take off my 10Kg luggage to hand carry and i didn't aware that the luggage actually have all my shampoo and facial stuff. I was kinda panicked that time,luckily V6 came 2 send me off and helped me all the way. V asked the staff & she allowed me to pack all my liquid stuff in 1 luggage to check in. Thank God~
It took about 12 hours for us to reach Heathrow Airport in London and i was dizzy all the way coz lack of sleep...
We reached at 5.20am on the 20th and we had waited our University bus in the airport for 5 hours...v felt pretty boring over there and walk around for photo shooting.

Finally,our Uni bus reach and it took another 1 hours for us to reach Southampton and our hall.

This is our hall: St.Margaret's House - the place where v live~ I still can recall that i heard a shout at the time when i reached in front of my hall,wanna know why? It was Pei Ling who surprised for our arrival~ V lost contact start 2 days before me,tj and yong hao left Malaysia and v don't have her hand phone number....kinda excited when v met each other coz she coincidentally went to the hall at that time~ Well, it was also a surprised when v knew that v r actually staying in the same floor...Tj stay next to my room while Yong Hao stay next to Tj's, it is quite convenient to pop into each other among us~
Right after v put our luggage in our room without unpack it...we followed Pei Ling to her hall. Her hall is actually nearer to the place where v study than ours. Look nice right? ^^
Then, we went out to have our lunch in a shopping mall.We have to buy our comforter and necessary stuff coz the weather is quite chilly over here~V walk around and found out that the stuff over here is quite expensive...until v found a hyper market name ASDA!!! It sells the cheapest stuff amongst all, most of the international students over here will straight go there and buy things that they need. Then v went back to our hall, unpack our luggage and settle down and Pei Ling treat us for dinner on the 1st night v get there~ What a busy & tired day.....
