I broke my window in Chap Goh Mei =.=

Isn't that Chap Goh Mei a day for celebration and should comes with lots of joy & happiness? But why am I having bad luck these days??? I really have no clue at all....How come I can still get injured even though I staying quietly in my room???...haiz. I was sitting in front of my laptop & watching drama for the whole day. Then I felt a bit chill & used my left hand to push the window up. Guess what had happen??
It broke just like that!!!! am I that powerful??? I just pushed it up lightly & it broke!!! This is really hyper....I stared at the window & my hand for a few seconds before I realised what was happening!
Luckily my hand didn't injured badly...just a few scratch...

Zoe's home made Bubur Caca~

Lots of... lots of 1st time @ UK. As the picture showed above, I had successfully made it =>Bubur Caca~ It is very hard to find nice Malaysian dessert in UK and because I miss my mom's home made dessert so much, I finally decided to cook it~ Have to thanks my teacher,Wai~I kept asking him the way to cook it! Here I would like to share my recipe~
Ingredients: Black eye peas, Sago, Yam[the yam @ UK is different from those @ Malaysia, Malaysia's taste better], Sweet Potato,Milk, Sugar & Santan~

Recipe:
My Friend used to cook the Sago with the dessert she made but it became overcooked in the end. So,how to make the Sago more Q? I learned it from a website & this is how I made:
Cook the Sago with high power until it boiled then cover it & put aside for 20 minutes. After that cook it again until it boiled then cover it & put aside for just 10 minutes this time. Rinse it with cold water and store it in the fridge.
Now,You can start by boiling the black eye peas because it would take some time to make it soft. Then put in the Yam & Sweet Potato cube and cook until everything become almost soft. You can add in some water in between. Add some milk, sugar & santan[depends on your taste] when it almost done. For the last step, just put the Sago into your Bubur Caca when it serve.
Tada~It taste really nice, saya tak ada tipu ni... memang sedap~ Just that the Yam here doesn't taste that nice but overall still not bad~
Even Jing Jing LOVE Bubur Caca~

1st time doing voluntary work @ UK

I was almost reluctant to wake up yesterday morning...but I have to because I had promised to do voluntary work to collect donation in front of a mall in the city. It was 1 of the voluntary event offered by the Voluntary Community. Yong Hao, Pei Ling & I signed up for this because they mentioned that a T-shirt will be given for those who participate. Pei Ling told me that she doesn't feel like going on the day before so it just left me & yong hao. The event started at 2pm but when I passed by yong hao's room at around 1pm he was still on his bed so I waked him up & forced him to accompany me!!! haha...

There were light rain the afternoon and we were late at the time we get there but what disappointed me was "No T-shirt was Given"!!! They just gave us a green strap[the 1 I wearing] & a GREEN bucket.....We felt a bit embarrassing to shout out loud at 1st but then v get the courage to do so by daring each other which means I shout once then Yong Hao's turn then my turn again~ "Any spare change for Macmillan CANCER support??"

I felt that I had become more brave & natural to shout out loud after the 1st few times & I was feeling good doing so. I treated this as a training for my self to become more extrovert and it was really an interesting experience which I can mention in my CV too~

CNY celebration @ St.Margaret's Hall

Hello everyone~
This is my 1st post in 2010...quite a long time since last post, felt kinda awkward & don't know where to start, I meant those stories that happen on me for the past 2 months and sorry to those who anticipating it. Hence, I decided to write about my 1st CNY celebration in UK. On the CNY eve, Pei Ling & Taw Jin went to their friend's place to celebrate while Yong Hao went London to fecth her lovely girlfriend-Ivy~ So,I joined the party that held in our St,Margaret's House that night. I went to 珍珍's place to help prepare dumpling for the party~ Although it looks easy to make but making it for a bunch of people is really a tiring job.
This is the stuffing for the dumplings(mixture of pork & vege)>>
Some of u might feel it weird that why were we making dumpling for CNY? Trust me,I asked that question too!!My China's friend told me that they usually eat dumpling for CNY celebration then they asked me what kind of food do we eat for CNY in Malaysia? I answered “捞生” but what surprised me was no one actually knows what is it? Not even my Hong Kong's friend...
After sick of making dumpling,I went “curi tulang” in 珍珍's room to chat with Gina,Vivian them.
Besides dumpling, they had also prepared dim sum, popiah & rice cake~Oh ya,Plus lots of beer & wine...they had lots of alcoholic drinks lolz.
It was really happening and everyone were busy enjoy eating & chatting around that night~
We had a group quiz competition after the meal=> all about China & Chinese New Year stuff. They even asked about china's geography & history. One of my HK friend was surprised that i couldn't answer some of the question until I told her that:“ I didn't study China's History,I only study Malaysia's History!” ^^
Acting like an ancient women~
After the quiz,Simpson took sky lanterns out & asked us to write down our wishes on the it.
Curious of what I wish for?
haha...Wish to get a boyfriend ofcoz~
Due to the celebration of CNY was coincidentally fall on the same day with Valentine this year, they able to bought the lantern in HEART shape~
It was so lovely~
Then they started putting fireworks & crackers for half an hour~ I was wondering is it legal to play fireworks? coz we would get caught if we play in Malaysia. But since no one care about it....we just enjoy the show~
I had made a phone call to greet my parents back in Malaysia after the party, miss my family so much when I heard the crowded noise at their place & missing the atmosphere of CNY with the HOT HOT sun in Malaysia too>> here was too cold...
Although it seems a bit late but I would still like wish everyone a blissful Chinese New Year~
